CLO5
Liquid Chlorine, designed to Solve Problems in Wastewater and Water Treatment
No files available
CLO5 or liquid chlorine, also known as bleach, is a liquid disinfectant produced by Sant Chemical Production Laboratories Company. It is a yellow and water-soluble material with a special smell. CLO5 is produced by membrane electrolysis to be used in wastewater treatment plants.
Use of reverse osmosis or ion exchange methods for the recommended concentrations of this solution in water before the water enters the treatment system can eliminate various pathogenic agents and reduce growth of bacteria and algae in water tanks.
The active chlorine source in this detergent is sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), and the 5% active chlorine in CLO5 is retained for six months if storage conditions are complied with. Therefore, CLO5 does not have the problems associated with using products with higher concentrations (12%) that retain their active chlorine for only 15 days.
Usage Method
Use it at 1-40 ppm in wastewater treatment plants, 1-5 ppm in inflow to or outflow from water treatment plants, and as 5-10% solution for surface disinfection.
