BAQ500
Viscosity Reducer in Treatment Ponds (Imhoff Tanks)
No files available
BAQ500 is a transparent foaming and water-soluble solution that, when used at the suggested concentrations, can solve problems caused by bacterial membranes, the materials produced in their secondary metabolism, and all factors that increase the viscosity of the solution in Imhoff tanks and interfere with solid flotation. When used at the recommended concentrations, BAQ500 will also reduce viscosity and facilitate flotation.
Use of BAQ500 in treatment plants disinfects the effluent, prevents unpleasant smell and presence of insects in filters, reduces biological oxygen demand (BOD), and stops corrosion of concrete and mechanical parts by the acidic materials produced during treatment.
BAQ500 is based on quaternary ammonium salts and hence can be a good alternative to liquid chlorine. Among the advantages of BAQ500 over liquid chlorine are its greater stability and easier mixing and dissolution compared to chlorine powder. It can also be used as a surface disinfectant.
Usage Method
Use at 1-25 ppm depending on wastewater viscosity.
Use 1:200-1:400 dilutions of the cleaner in water for disinfecting surfaces.
